China population - The population of China

Many people are extremely curious about the population of China. As of mid 2008, China has over 1.3 billion people and is the world’s largest populous country. That account of 20% of the world’s population which is 6.7 billion, so there is a Chinese people out of every five people.

China has a population of 0.563 billion in the 1950s, and it began to grow quickly until the early 1980s. And it is expected to reach 1.4 billion. But India is expected to surpass China in the 2040s with a population of 1.52 billion, while China’s population is about 1.45 billion. India’s population grows much quicker than China.
